Steak with Homemade Grated Daikon Radish Sauce

Steak with Homemade Grated Daikon Radish Sauce

The combination of grated daikon radish with this sauce really enhances the flavor of the steak. Be careful not to eat too much!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Beef Steak
250g
Grated daikon radish
to taste
Sauce (soy sauce)
3 tablespoons
Sauce (mirin)
2 tablespoons
Sauce (sake)
2 tablespoons
Sauce (vinegar)
1 rounded tablespoon
Salt and pepper
to taste
Vegetables for the side
as desired (I used mushrooms)

Steps

1. Season the meat with salt and pepper and cook in the frying pan. Medium-rare is best in my opinion.
2. Grate the daikon radish.
3. Cut the meat and top with the grated daikon radish.
4. Make the sauce. Combine the sauce ingredients, taste it and adjust accordingly. Pour the sauce on top and enjoy.

Story Behind this Recipe

Rather than a rich and heavily-flavored steak, I felt like seasoning it light. This was my attempt of making homemade sauce.
