Super Tasty Japanese Style Creamy Udon Using Frozen Udon Noodles

Surprisingly delicious! Creamy udon noodles!!
It's easier to make than pasta. My husband says he likes it better than pasta.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Frozen udon noodles
3 servings (or 2 servings)
Water
a little
Hon dashi Japanese stock granules
1 teaspoon
Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
Heavy cream
100 ml
Salt and pepper
a pinch
Black pepper (to finish on top)
a pinch

Steps

1. Microwave the frozen noodles for 5 minutes until they start to separate.
2. In a pan, add just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan. Add Hon dashi and turn on the heat to medium-high.
3. When it starts to boil, add the noodles and soy sauce and heat up while untangling the noodles.
4. Turn the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and season with salt and pepper. Serve on plates.
5. Sprinkle with the black pepper and enjoy!

Story Behind this Recipe

I had leftover heavy cream in the refrigerator.
I also happened to have frozen udon noodles in the freezer.
Since it was udon, I used Japanese flavoring ingredients, and it was surprisingly good!
