Okara Cocoa Cake

You can make this cake with a rice cooker! An ordinary okara becomes a fluffy sponge cake-like texture with just a little trick. The cocoa flavor is irresistible...

Ingredients

Fresh okara
200g
Pancake Mix
150g
Cocoa powder
3 tablespoons
Chocolate (no problem even if you don't have)
20g
Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons
Milk
250g
Honey
1 heaping tablespoon
Butter
1 tablespoon

Steps

1. Melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave in advance.
2. Mix Step 1 and the rest of the ingredients well.
3. Put step 2 in a rice cooker and switch it on. Cook it twice if the inside is still uncooked.
4. This is a simple okara cake just using okara.
5. This is a okara cake using instant coffee instead of cocoa.

Story Behind this Recipe

I make soy milk at home so I always have lots of okara left over. I want to be able to use okara more. This is a very easy recipe which is just mixing up all the ingredients and let the rice cooker do the rest of the job. It's part of our family's regular breakfast.
