Spread the newspaper out in the box, put in the chestnuts and wrap carefully.
Put the wrapped chestnuts in a plastic supermarket bag, and store in the refrigerator for 3 weeks to a month.
Boil the chestnuts in plenty of water and enjoy. In 3 weeks to a month, the chestnuts will lose some moisture and shrink a little. They will become wrinkly.

I wanted to store my favorite chestnuts in a way that turns them sweet and delicious.
Change the newspaper frequently while storing the chestnuts. It will become very wet by absorbing the moisture from the chestnuts. Chestnuts don't do well in a humid environment, which leads to molding.
