Caramel Cream Cheese Cookies

Cream cheese and caramel really go well together in these crispy, crunchy cookies.

Ingredients: 35 cookies, each about 2 cm in size

Butter
40g
Sugar
15g
Cream cheese
15-20g
Caramel (store-bought)
20g
Milk
1 teaspoon
Flour
100g

Steps

1. Return the butter to room temperature, add the sugar and mix with a whisk.
2. Add room temperature cream cheese and mix in as if kneading.
3. Add the milk and mix, then sprinkle in the flour. Mix and bring it all together with a spatula.
4. Warm and soften the caramel in a 700w W microwave for 10 seconds (or adjust to your appliance at home until softened).
5. Quickly add the caramel to the mixture from Step 3 and mix well.
6. Wrap and adjust the shape. Let it sit in the freezer for 15 minutes.
7. Cut the cookies into 5mm-thick pieces and spread them out on a baking tray.
8. Bake in an oven pre-heated to 170°C for 20 minutes.
