Charaben - Little Fall Chestnut-Shaped Onigiri

Charaben - Little Fall Chestnut-Shaped Onigiri

You can make these easily just by putting a little bit of work into the usual onigiri rice balls.

Brown onigiri (rice balls)
as many as you like
Ketchup or imitation crab sticks
as needed
Nori seaweed
1 sheet
White sesame seeds
as needed
Black sesame seeds
as needed

1. Make as many rounded triangle-shaped onigiri as you like.
2. Scatter white or black sesame seeds on a plate, as much as you need.
3. Roll the bottom of each onigiri in sesame seeds to coat.
4. Make the face: The eyes, nose and mouth are cut out of nori seaweed. The cheeks are made with crab stick or ketchup.
5. Stick the face parts on the onigiri, and they're done.
