Whole Pickled Cucumber

An easy pickle made by putting a whole cucumber with the pickling liquid in a plastic bag and leaving it for a day. It's delicious as is!

Ingredients

Cucumber
3 (300 g total)
[A]
Water
200 ml
Sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons
Vinegar
1 tablespoon
Coarse salt
2 teaspoons
Kombu (finely shredded)
3 cm
Red chili pepper (seeds removed and sliced thinly)

Steps

1. Wash the cucumbers. Put the cucumbers and the combined [A] ingredients in a plastic bag. Push the air out of the bag, close and refrigerate for a day. Done.
2. You can chop up the cucumbers and serve as an instant pickle dish, or skewer them as shown in the photo and crunch away.
