Delicious! Zhajiang Udon Noodles with Ground Meat and Green Pepper

Lots of vegetables♪ Our family's version of Zhajiang Udon Noodles popular with kids.

Ingredients: 3~4 servings

Ground pork
120 g
Green peppers

Carrot
1
Broccoli stems (if you have some left tover)
from 1 head of broccoli
Grated ginger
As needed (about 1/2 teaspoon, or 2 cm of grated ginger in a tube)
Grated garlic
As needed (about 1/2 teaspoon, or 2 cm of grated garlic in a tube)
Flavoring ingredients:
Tianmianjiang (Chinese sweet bean paste)
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons
Sake
2 teaspoons
Sugar
a pinch
Chicken stock granules
a small amount
(If you want to make it spicy) Doubanjiang
1 teaspoon

Steps

1. Heat the sesame oil in a pan and cook the green pepper, broccoli stems and carrots, Once cooked, transfer to a plate.
2. Combine the tianmianjiang, sake, sugar, soy sauce and chicken stock granules.
3. In the same pan, heat the sesame oil and add the grated garlic and grated ginger and cook until fragrant.
4. Add the ground pork and when cooked through, add the seasonings and combine with the meat.
5. Return the vegetables to the pan.
6. Cook the udon noodles and cool well in cold water. Plate the noodles and top with the pork and vegetable mixture and done!
7. I had leftover broccoli stems so I sliced them thinly and added them to the dish. They're nutritious and delicious!!
