Asian Pear Compote

Combine the ingredients and cook them in the microwave.
Asian pears never tasted so good!


Asian pear
4 tablespoons (50 g)
Lemon juice
2 teaspoons


1. Peel and core the pear, then cut into 5 mm slices.
2. Evenly spread the slices into a heat-resistant dish, then evenly sprinkle on the sugar and lemon juice.
3. Cover with a lid and microwave for 5 minutes. After the slices are tender, it's ready to serve! If they are still hard, microwave longer, checking after increments of 30 seconds.
4. Cover with a lid and cool. It will become tender from the residual heat. Once it cools, chill in the refrigerator. Serve chilled.

Story Behind this Recipe

To tell the truth, my kids and I both dislike Asian pears.
But if they are made into compote, we can eat them!
