Winter Melon Salad

Winter Melon Salad

I prefer eating winter melons in salads rather than in simmered dishes. You can really eat this heartily.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Winter melon
1/8
(If the winter melon is small
1/2)
Ham
4 slices
Egg
1
Bell peppers
1/2
(This time, I used red and yellow
1/4 each)
Mentsuyu
1 tablespoon
Mayonnaise
3 tablespoon plus (more if desired)

Steps

1. Peel the winter melon and remove the seeds and insides, then julienne the flesh. Sprinkle salt (unlisted) and set it aside for 10 minutes.
2. Julienne the bell peppers. Beat the eggs and cook over heat or microwave to make a quick omelet (It doesn't have to be perfect). Place the ham over the omelet and slice them both thinly.
3. Rinse the winter melon with water to wash off the salt. Squeeze thoroughly to drain excess water. Combine with the mixed ingredients from Step 2.
4. Mix with mentsuyu sauce and mayonnaise to serve.
