[Farmer's Recipe] Simmered Beef and Mushroom

This is an easy recipe. All you need to do is put beef and mushroom into a pot, add the seasonings, and simmer. It's an appetizing dish to accompany rice.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Thinly sliced beef, or beef offcuts
100 g
Shimeji mushrooms
150 g
Maitake mushrooms
150 g
Green onion
as needed
[A]
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Sake
2 tablespoons
Sugar
2 teaspoons

Steps

1. Chop the beef into bite-sized pieces. Remove the stem from the mushrooms and break them apart with your hands.
2. Put the mushrooms into a pot. Spread the beef over the mushrooms. Combine the [A] ingredients, mix well, and pour over beef and mushrooms.
3. Cover the pot and simmer over medium heat for 3 minutes. Mix well. Remove the lid and continue simmering until the sauce has been reduced. Keep mixing while simmering.
4. Serve it up after it's cooled down. Arrange on a plate, top with green onions, and enjoy.
