Mock Scones with Tofu and Pancake Mix For Dieters

You only need 2 ingredients and a single bowl to make this lazy dieter's snack! Don't eat too many!
The pictured scones are with cocoa powder.


Firm tofu (no need to drain!)
50 g
Pancake mix
200 g


1. Using a spoon or whisk, mash the tofu until smooth.
2. For extra flavor, add cocoa powder, nuts, or anything else you can think of, and stir into the tofu.
3. Add the pancake mix in 2-3 batches, and knead into the tofu to form a dough. If the dough is too floury and won't come together, add small quantities of tofu (not listed in ingredients above) in batches, checking the consistency after each addition.
4. Shape as desired, adding extra pancake mix if the dough is too soft to shape.
5. In my case, I usually tear off small bits of the dough, roll them into balls with my hands, and press down on them to flatten.
6. Bake for approximately 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 180℃, checking on them from time-to-time. Once browned, they're finished!

I wanted to make a healthy snack using only tofu and pancake mix.
Since these scones are healthy and only contain 2 ingredients, they should be good for dieters.
