Namul Style Cucumber and Tomato with Sesame Oil

I made a namul style mixed vegetable dish with cucumber and tomatoes. You can make it quickly, so it's great as a 'one more item' dish.


3 (thin Japanese type)
Cherry tomatoes
1 pack (or 1 regular tomato)
The seasoning ingredients:
◆ Sesame oil
2 tablespoons
◆ Salt
1/2 to 1 teaspoon
◆ Chicken soup stock granules
1/2 to 1 teaspoon
◆ White toasted sesame seeds (I recommend using ground sesame seeds)
A generous amount


1. Slice the cucumbers thinly in any shape you like. I cut the cucumbers lengthwise and then slice them diagonally.
2. Quarter the cherry tomatoes. If you're using a regular tomato, dice into 1 cm.
3. Put the cucumber and tomato and the ◆ ingredients in a bowl, mix together and it's done!

Story Behind this Recipe

I created my own recipe for namul while cutting cucumbers and tomatoes. The usual namul ingredients like spinach and bean sprouts are blanched, but I didn't cook the cucumber and tomato since I wanted to enjoy them raw.
