Fluffy & Creamy Yamaimo Salad

Microwaved yamaimo tastes really soft, and just melts in your mouth. I've created such a texture into a salad.

Ingredients: 3-4 servings

Yamaimo (with the peel)
350 g
● Canned tuna
● Mayonnaise
1.5 tablespoons or more
● Ponzu
1/2 tablespoon
● Kombu tea (optional)
1/2 teaspoon
● Green scallion
as needed


1. Peel the yamaimo and cut into thick rectangular or round slices.
2. Place the yamaimo in a microwave-proof bowl or plate covered with cling film. Heat for 8 minutes on 600 W. Mash roughly with a fork.
3. Once you've made the mashed yamaimo, combine with the ● seasonings while it's still warm. Drain the oil from the tuna before adding it.
4. Mix everything well. Then chill well in the fridge.
5. Serve on a plate.
