Meat Miso - Even Kids Love This!

This is a dip-like sauce or condiment that you'll want to keep in stock. Great with rice, noodles, or vegetables. It's so convenient.

Ingredients: an easy to make amount

Ground pork
400g
A. flavoring ingredients
Sugar
3 tablespoons
Sake
3 tablespoons
Miso (We use Hatcho miso)
About 4 tablespoons
Ginger, finely chopped
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1 tablespoon

Steps

1. Cook the ground pork in a non-stick pan. Add the A. flavoring ingredients and mix. Pour enough water to cover and continue to cook until the moisture evaporates.
2. When most of the moisture has evaporated, the dish should look like this (add minced or grated garlic to taste. I think it is delicious).

Story Behind this Recipe

When my son was young, I made this dish often. He would eat it on vegetables, or on udon or somen noodles. Recently I remembered the recipe and decided to make it again, and share it here.
