My Mother-in-law's Squid Miso Stir Fry Recipe

This is a stir fry dish that my mother-in-law, who also happens to be a wife of a fishermen, often makes. It's an easy-to-make but delicious dish. It's good as a side dish or as an appetizer.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Squid (medium~small)
1
Japanese leek
20 cm
Sake
1 tablespoon
Miso
1 tablespoon
Oil
1 tablespoon
Squid liver (optional)
to taste

Steps

1. Cut the squid body into 1 cm strips and the squid legs into bite-sized pieces. Cut the leek diagonally in 1 cm widths. Have the sake and miso mixed together.
2. Pour the oil in a frying pan and stir fry the squid, then leek in that order. When they are almost cooked through, add the seasonings.
3. Add the squid liver if you like, and stir fry quickly to finish.
