Macrobiotic Maple Coconut Cookies

These cookies do not use any eggs or dairy products. They have a light and gentle flavor. The ingredients list is quite simple, so you can bake them up anytime you like.

Ingredients: Makes about 20 cookies, each 3 cm in diameter

Whole wheat flour (finely ground)
150 g
Cornstarch (or katakuriko)
30 g
Vegetable oil
60 g
Maple syrup
50 g
Finely shredded coconut
30 g


1. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl, mix well by folding together with a rubber spatula.
2. Shape the cookies into rounds that are roughly 3 cm in diameter, and 8 mm in thickness. Bake them for about 25 minutes at 180℃, then they're ready.
