Zucchini with Bonito Flakes, Mayonnaise, and Wasabi

This is a nice recipe to whip up when you need a quick dish.
Enjoy this simply flavored oil-free zucchini dish.

Ingredients: 2 servings served in small dishes

1 (160 g)
1/2 teaspoon
●Mayonnaise (light mayonnaise is also fine)
1 tablespoon
●Grated wasabi
2 cm plus (tubed)
●Bonito flakes
Half a pack (roughly 1.5 g)
●Grated garlic
As needed
●Black pepper
To taste
Dashi soy sauce (or mentsuyu)
A few drops


1. Slice the zucchini into 1-2 mm rounds. Mix the salt and set aside for 10 minutes. Afterwards, rinse off the salt and squeeze the zucchini with your hands to drain excess water.
2. Combine all ● ingredients in a bowl. Taste, and season with dashi soy sauce. (It would be too strong if you added it from the beginning).
