Peach Compote

Peach Compote

Chill this compote and serve it with ice cream. Children love this too!
You can keep this for a while in the refrigerator.


2 cups (400 ml)
100 g
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon


1. Wash peaches well under running water to remove their fuzz.
2. Make a cut along the line of the peach. Twist to open. Scoop out the pit with a spoon.
3. Simmer water, sugar lemon juice and peach, cut in half (with skin) in a pan.
4. Remove scum and simmer for about 10 minutes, flipping the peach occasionally (until soft enough to poke through with a chopstick easily).
5. Cool it down a bit, and peel the skin. You can remove the entire skin easily. Let rest in the refrigerator.
6. Chill and serve with ice cream.
