Meat-Miso (A Family Standard)

Serve this as you like. The dish is perfectly seasoned, so it's great as is on cold silken tofu, or with hot rice.

Ingredients: An easy-to-make amount

Ground pork
150g
Onion
1/2
Leek
1/2 (use the white part)
Garlic
1 clove
Ginger
a piece the size of your thumbtip
●Red miso
1 teaspoon
●Sugar
1 teaspoon
●Sake
2 teaspoons
●Mirin
2 teaspoons
●Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
Sesame oil
to taste

Steps

1. Mince the onion, leek, garlic, and ginger.
2. Combine the ● ingredients and mix well.
3. Heat sesame oil in a pan and fry the minced onion, leek, garlic, and ginger over low heat.
4. When the oil is nicely fragrant, add the ground pork, fry while and crumble it with a wooden spatula.
5. When the meat has cooked through and browned, mix in the ● sauce from Step 2. Continue frying and when the liquid has evaporated, you are done.
