Chinese-Style Marinated Boiled Eggs

Chinese-Style Marinated Boiled Eggs

These well seasoned eggs are great as a side dish with rice, as well as on ramen!

Ingredients: 2 eggs' worth

☆Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
1 teaspoon
☆Chinese chicken stock powder
1/2 teaspoon
☆Grated garlic
1/4 teaspoon
☆Grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon

1. Bring the eggs to room temperature and put into a pot. Pour in enough water to cover. Cover the pot and cook over high heat. After boiling, turn the heat to low and heat for 6 minutes.
2. Transfer the cooked eggs into ice-cold water and cool thoroughly. If the insides are cooled enough, they will be easier to peel.
3. Add the peeled eggs and the ingredients marked ☆ into a small plastic bag.
4. Press the air out of the bag, and close it up with a rubber band. Gently and thoroughly massage the eggs over the bag so that they fully absorb the flavors in the marinade. Chill overnight in the refrigerator. Massage the eggs several times as they marinate.
5. I used these eggs in my "Thick and Rich Tonkotsu Ramen" - Recipe ID: 1484548.
