Soup with A Soft Whole Tomato

It's a consommé soup with whole tomatoes. Eat the really soft tomato by breaking it down with a spoon.

Ingredients: 2 to 4 servings

Tomatoes

Grated cheese
To taste
Basil leaves
Around 6 leaves
[A]
Water
800 ml
Consommé cube
3
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Coarsely ground black pepper
To taste

Steps

1. [Parboiling the tomatoes] Remove the blossom ends with the tip of your kitchen knife.. Place the tomatoes in boiling water for 20 seconds, remove and place into cold water.
2. Remove the skin. It will come off really easily.
3. Boil [A] in a saucepan and place the tomatoes in carefully. Simmer for 30 minutes. Pour the soup over the tomatoes occasionally.
4. Transfer to a serving plate, sprinkle on finely chopped basil and grated cheese and it's done. The tomato will be really soft, so you can eat it with a spoon.

I make tomato consommé soup quite often, but I really liked the texture of the tomato when I used a whole one.
