Yogurt Rich Chocolate Cheesecake

Yogurt Rich Chocolate Cheesecake

This is a chocolate version of usual cheesecake. It's rich and thick, but it's not heavy because of the yogurt.

Ingredients: 18 cm diameter mold

400 g (200 g after draining)
70 g
Cake flour
20 g
Cocoa powder
20 g
Low fat heavy cream
200 ml
Chocolate bar
1 (58 g) ~ 2 bars
Cookies (I recommend Oreos)
90 g
40 g

1. Strain the yogurt overnight.
2. Crush the cookies, mix with melted butter, and press onto the bottom of a mold lined with parchment paper.
3. Pour 100 ml of heavy cream into a mug cup and microwave for 1 minute. Add the crushed cookies into a bowl, and pour in the warm heavy cream.
4. Mix with a whisk until the chocolate melts. If the chocolate is not melting, microwave a little bit. Don't make it too hot.
5. In a separate bowl, add yogurt→ sugar→ eggs→ sifted cake flour and cocoa powder in that order, and mix with a whisk.
6. Add Step 4 and 100 ml of remaining heavy cream at the end. The batter is ready.
7. Pour into the mold, and bake in the oven at 180℃ for about 45 ~ 50 minutes.
8. When baked, chill with the mold in the fridge, then slice.

Story Behind this Recipe

The usual strained yogurt cheesecake is delicious, so I created a chocolate version.
