Toasted Onigiri (Rice Balls)

To take care of those times when your kids sons came home from school starving! You want to eat more and more of this!

Ingredients: 2 rice balls

Plain cooked rice
2 bowls
*Dashi stock granules
1/2 teaspoon
*Soy sauce
1 + 1/2 teaspoons
*Sesame oil
1 teaspoon

Steps

1. Mix the rice with the ingredients marked * and firmly shape. Cook both sides in a pan with no oil. Try not to touch them too much and cook over low medium heat.
2. They contain sesame oil so remember to form them firmly. It's easier to eat them if you wrap in plastic wrap or foil.

My sons aren't really satisfied with just plain rice balls so I add a bit of flavour to them.
