Shrimp Chili with Onions

A hearty dish with tons of onions! The flavor is hearty, too!

Ingredients: serves 2

Shelled shrimp

Onion
1/4
Grated garlic
0.5 tablespoon
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Katakuriko
2 tablespoons
For the sauce:
Doubanjiang
2 tablespoons
Ketchup
4 tablespoons
Sugar
1 tablespoon
Mirin
2 tablespoons
Vinegar
2 tablespoons
Water
6 tablespoons

Steps

1. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the shrimp and let sit for 15 minutes.
2. Mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
3. Cover the seasoned shrimp with katakuriko.
4. Fry the shrimp in a lightly oiled pan. Once fried, remove the shrimp.
5. In the same pan, use the leftover oil to fry the grated garlic. Once it becomes fragrant, add the minced onion.
6. Once the onions have become translucent, add the sauce and stir.
7. Add the shrimp and mix well.
