Coat the fish with a the flour and baking powder mixed together, and lightly fry.
Lightly cook the vegetables in sesame oil. Then add all of the combined seasoning ingredients. Once it comes to a boil add the katakuriko slurry to thicken.
Add the fried fish to Step 3, and lightly mix everything together and it's complete. Since it's got a strong flavor it's also delicious eaten over rice.
Story Behind this Recipe
I made this for my husband who hates fish.
Fish cooks through pretty easily, so fry it quickly in high-temperature oil.
