Baguette Rusks in a Frying Pan

You can make crispy rusks easily since you only need a frying pan, so it's simple!

Ingredients: 1 baguette worth

40 g
Granulated sugar
3~4 tablespoons


1. Cube the baguette into small pieces.
2. Put the pieces in a pan and toast over a medium heat (they'll be crunchy in about 7~8 minutes.)
3. Remove the baguette from the pan and remove any crumbs, then melt the butter in the pan.
4. When the butter has melted, add the granulated sugar and return the baguette to the pan.
5. Coat the baguette with the butter and then cool on a baking sheet.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to make these in a pan rather than in the oven, as it's so much easier. It was super successful.
