Farmhouse Recipe - Carrots in Vinegar and Soy Sauce

The combination of ground sesame seeds with vinegar and soy sauce whets the appetite. Use this simple recipe for your always-handy carrots.

Ingredients: 2 servings

100 g
Ground sesame seeds
4 tablespoons
Soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
2 teaspoons
1 teaspoon


1. Cut carrots into 4 cm long pieces, then slice into 7 mm wide rectangles, and boil until tender.
2. Remove from the heat when the pot of carrots comes to the boil, then while still hot, toss with the well blended mixture [A], chill and serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to come up with a healthy and light side dish using carrots, so I added some vinegar and soy sauce. It was tasty, and became even more fragrant with the ground sesame seeds.
