Cut the avocado into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle the lemon juice over the avocado. Mix with basil pesto.
Add some salt (not included in ingredients list) in potful of boiling water, and cook the pasta. Add the peeled shrimp to the pot 2-3 minutes before the pasta finishes boiling.
Add the boiled pasta and shrimp to the mixture you made at Step 1, and combine.
Serve on a plate. Sprinkle on a generous amount of the grated cheese. Decorate with arugula or basil.

The combination of shrimp, avocado and basil is delicious, so I combined these ingredients in a pasta dish.
Use well ripened avocado. The photo shows the avocado pieces keep their own shape, but you can mush them more to make them into a kind of paste, if you'd like Double the amount if you're making 2 servings.
