Macrobiotic Caramelized Apples

Apples are one of the most important fruits in the macrobiotic diet, so I created this recipe.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Apple
1
Lemon juice
a small amount
Olive oil
1 tablespoon
Beet sugar
3 tablespoons
White wine
2 tablespoons

Steps

1. Cut the apple into six segments, and soak in water and lemon juice.
2. Pour oil into a frying pan and fry both sides of the apples.
3. Add the beet sugar and white wine. If it looks like there isn't going to be enough liquid to cook them, add some water.
4. Cover with a lid and cook for about 10 minutes. Flip the apples over occasionally.
5. Leave to cool before serving.
