Simple! Japanese Restaurant-style Beef Stroganoff

Add nutmeg to tomato ketchup for a miraculous transformation into a thick, demi-glace like sauce!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Thinly sliced beef strips (offcuts or thigh meat also works)
200 g
Sliced onions
200 g
Ketchup
60 g
Coarsely ground pepper
about 1/4 teaspoon
Nutmeg (powdered)
about 1/2 teaspoon
Finely chopped parsley
a pinch
Coffee cream (or fresh cream)
10 ml
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon

Steps

1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Add the beef and onions to saute.
2. Add the nutmeg and ground pepper and continuing cooking until aromatic.
3. Add the tomato ketchup and continue to fry until the ingredients come together.
4. Serve on a heated plate. Top with the creamer and finely-chopped parsley, and it's done.
