Yummy and Juicy & Deep Fried Ground Meat Patties with Cabbage

You'll want to make this again and again! The crunchy cabbage is addictive.

Ingredients: 8 patties

Cabbage
200 g
Flour
1 tablespoon
The meat mixture:
Ground combined beef and pork
300 g
Onion
1/2
● Panko
1/2 cup - 100 ml
● Milk
2 tablespoons
● Egg
1/2
Salt and pepper
A small amount of each
The coating:
Egg
1
Flour and panko
To taste
Oil for deep frying
As needed

Steps

1. Finely chop the onion, and microwave for 3 minutes at 500 W. Let cool.
2. Mix the ● ingredients together.
3. Combine the ingredients from steps 1 and 2 with the ground meat, salt and pepper, and mix together very well.
4. Wash and dry the cabbage and chop up rather coarsely. Sprinkle on 1 tablespoon of flour.
5. Mix the cabbage and meat mixture together very well, and form into 8 round patties.
6. Coat with flour, beaten egg and panko.
7. Deep fry in 170°C oil until golden brown.

I don't like storebought menchi-katsu (breaded and deep fried meat patties) but I love my homemade version!
