Foolproof Stuffed Peppers

Foolproof Stuffed Peppers

The meat won't get separated from these peppers if you prepare them this way. The seasoning is on point, too! These "wrinkle-free" stuffed peppers are pretty to look and a tasty dish.

Ingredients: 3 to 4 servings

Green bell pepper
The meat mixture:
Combined ground beef and pork
300 g
● Panko
1/2 cup (100 ml)
● Milk
2 tablespoons
● Egg
1 tablespoon
Salt and pepper
A small amount of each
The sauce ingredients:
★ Oyster sauce
2 tablespoons
★ Mirin
1 tablespoon
★ Sake
1 tablespoon
★ Water
100 ml

1. Finely chop the onion, and microwave for 3 minutes at 500 W. Let cool.
2. Mix the ● ingredients together.
3. Combine the ingredients from steps 1 and 2 with the ground meat, salt and pepper, and mix together very well.
4. Wash the bell peppers, pat dry and cut in half. Remove the seeds while leaving the stem end on.
5. Put the bell pepper halves and flour in a plastic bag, and shake well to coat the bell peppers.
6. Stuff the peppers generously with the meat mixture, leaving no gaps. The meat should be mounded up above the pepper.
7. Heat up a frying pan and add some oil. Line the peppers in the pan meat side down, and brown.
8. With the peppers still meat side down, add the combined ★ ingredients, cover with a lid and steam-cook. Take the lid off and reduce the sauce.
