[Farmhouse Recipe] Pork Rice Bowl with Plenty of Cabbage

[Farmhouse Recipe] Pork Rice Bowl with Plenty of Cabbage

Shredded cabbage goes really well with bitter-sweet flavoured pork rice bowl. The shredded cabbage is what stands out about this rice bowl, which can be made in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Thinly siced pork offcuts
200 g
100 g
Green onions (finely sliced)
as needed
Teriyaki sauce (see below)
4 tablespoons
Hot cooked rice
2 portions

1. You can make teriyaki sauce very easily. Check out the recipe here. Recipe ID: 1378663.
2. Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces and shred the cabbage with a slicer. The more thinly sliced, the better.
3. Lightly grease a frying pan with some oil and stir-fry the pork over high heat for 1 minute. Then add the teriyaki sauce and when it's cooked down halfway, stop the heat.
4. Place lots of cabbage on top of a bowl of rice, followed by a layer of cooked pork and sauce from the pan. Then top the rice bowl with some finely sliced spring onion to finish.

Story Behind this Recipe

I make my own teriyaki sauce and use it with stir-fried pork or chicken to create rice bowl dishes.
