Simple Napolitan

Simple Napolitan

This is a "napolitan" pasta dish you can create in an instant. Uses milk for a smooth feel and fish sauce for a rich flavor. This is a great recipe for those busy housewives out there.

Ingredients: 2 servings

200 g
Wiener sausages
60 g
Green peas
100 ml
Butter (or margarine)
1 tablespoon
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Grated cheese
to taste
4 tablespoons
3 tablespoons
Fish sauce
1 teaspoon

1. Slice the onion into thin wedges and dice the sausages. Set aside. As for the green peas, you can use them frozen, which is what I do.
2. Heat butter in a pan and add all the materials from Step 1. Cook on medium heat until the onions become wilted.
3. Mix the ingredients in [A] and add to the pan. Boil for about 30 seconds, then add the al dente pasta. Flavor with salt and pepper and you're done.
4. Top with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Story Behind this Recipe

When making Italian food that uses tomatoes, I use fish sauce as a replacement for anchovies.
