Easy Egg and Milk Free Chocolate-Style Cake

It still tastes like a chocolate cake even without chocolate.
This is an easy recipe which requires only mixing and baking.
This is also good as a macrobiotic treat.

Ingredients: one cake pan, 18 cm in diameter

★Cake flour
150 g
★Cocoa powder
50 g
★Baking powder (preferably aluminium-free)
1 teaspoon
a pinch
100 g
☆Maple syrup
100 ml
☆Apple juice
150 ml
50 ml


1. Combine the ★ ingredients in a bowl, and sift. Chop the raisins.
2. Add the ☆ ingredients into the Step 1 bowl, and fold them in. Add the raisins and mix. Pour into the pan, and smooth out the surface.
3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes at 180℃. Insert a bamboo skewer to test the cake, and if it comes out clean, it's done.
4. When cooled, remove from the pan, and cut into portions of your desired size.
