[Farmhouse Recipe] Curried Stir-Fry Potatoes

Curried stir-fried potatoes and green peas. It's based off an Indian recipe. This dish is good with drinks, or even in bento.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Potatoes (I suggest the May Queen variety )
200 g
Green peas
100 ml
Cumin seeds (optional)
a pinch
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
1 teaspoon
Curry powder
2/3 teaspoon
to taste

1. Peel the potatoes and chop into 1 cm cubes. Boil until soft.
2. Heat some oil in the frying pan and add cumin seeds over medium heat. Cook until pungent.
3. When using frozen green peas, use them straight from the freezer. Stir fry the green peas first. Once they've softened, move on to the next step.
4. Add the boiled potatoes and the [A] ingredients. It's done when the water has been completely cooked off.

Story Behind this Recipe

This is basically the filling for Indian samosas.
I make this dish when making samosas is too much trouble.
