Izakaya-style Famous dish in Nagoya Fried Chicken Wings

Nagoya-style chicken wings coated in spicy sauce with black pepper after they are fried.

Ingredients: For 6 portions

Chicken wings

Salt and pepper

Katakuriko
as needed
● Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
● Mirin
2 tablespoons
● Sake
1 tablespoon
● Coarsely ground black pepper
a generous amount
● Sesame seeds
1-2 tablespoons

Steps

1. Season the chicken wings with salt and pepper. Mix the ● in a bowl.
2. Put the chicken and katakuriko in a plastic bag and shake to coat the chicken evenly.
3. Deep-fry the chicken in 160-170°C oil slowly until crisp for about 10 minutes.
4. Coat the chicken with the mixed seasonings once fried and serve on a plate.
5. It tastes good even when cold, so it's ideal to pack in your bento.

I loved the frozen fried chicken given as a present from Nagoya, so I tried to recreate the sauce by myself.
