Spicy Japanese-Flavored Wiener Sausages with Wasabi Soy Sauce

Spicy Japanese-Flavored Wiener Sausages with Wasabi Soy Sauce

I gave wiener sausages a Japanese twist. The wasabi soy sauce makes them a perfect accompaniment for plain rice, as well as a great drinking appetizer.

Ingredients

Wiener sausages
1 pack (about 6 small ones)
Wasabi paste
about 1/2 teaspoon (1 cm from a tube)
Soy sauce
a bit less than 1/2 teaspoon
Vegetable oil
a small amount

Steps

1. Heat some oil in a frying pan and stir fry the sausages. Use about the amount of wasabi shown in the pan.
2. Add the soy sauce, dissolve in the wasabi paste, Coat the sausages in the sauce as you stir fry them. They're done.
3. Heat some vegetable oil in a pan (only a small amount is fine), and stir-fry the sausages. The amount of the wasabi paste you need is shown on the right in the photo.
4. They'll have a great wasabi fragrance. I put them in a bento.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to create a wiener sausage recipe to use in bentos.
