Stir Fried Onion and Fish Sausage With Ketchup

I used nam pla Thai fish sauce in lieu of anchovies. Nam pla and ketchup go really well together.

Ingredients: 2 servings

200 g
Fish sausage
150 g
1 tablespoon
Garlic, finely chopped
1 clove
3 tablespoons
Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
1 teaspoon
Fish sauce
1 teaspoon
Coarsely ground black pepper
To taste


1. Prep work: Cut the onion into wedges. Slice the fish sausage diagonally into 5 mm thick slices. Mix the [A] ingredients together.
2. Put the margarine and minced garlic into a frying pan, and stir fry over medium heat until the garlic is fragrant.
3. Add the onion, and stir fry until it's wilted. It will become sweet if you stir fry it to that stage.
4. Add the fish sausage, stir fry for 1 minute and then add the combined [A] ingredients. Stir fry for another minute and it's done.
5. This is also delicious in a hot dog bun with cheese melted on top.
