Sweet-Savory Sauce Spareribs in Pressure Cooker

Sweet-Savory Sauce Spareribs in Pressure Cooker

Try this recipe whenever you get spareribs.
The salty sweet sauce matches well. Using a pressure cooker shortens the cooking time, and makes the spareribs soft.

Ingredients: 1 kg

Spareribs (pork)
1 kg
★ Onion
★ Grated ginger
1 teaspoon
★ Grated garlic
1 teaspoon each
★ Soy sauce
★ Mirin
★ Honey
★ Water
100 ml
Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
Salt and pepper
To taste

1. Put the spareribs, salt and pepper into a bag. Rub together lightly and let sit for half an hour. Be careful of the bones.
2. Grate the onion and combine the ★ ingredients.
3. Pour the vegetable oil into a pressure cooker. Sear the spareribs over a medium heat to brown the surface lightly.
4. Tilt the cooker and soak up the excess oil with paper towels.
5. Add the ★ sauce and latch the lid of the pressure cooker. After the pressure rises, cook for 15 minutes on low heat. Turn the heat off and leave until the pressure drops.
6. Take the lid off, cook for about 10 minutes or to your liking. The sauce will separate between the oil and onion in time, so scoop the onion and pour over the spareribs.
