Steamed Mushrooms and Chicken Tenderloins with Cheese

Steamed Mushrooms and Chicken Tenderloins with Cheese

Since chicken tenderloins cook in about 5 minutes, this is a simple and easy dish. Mushrooms and cheese make a delicious combination.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chicken tenderloins
4
Shimeji mushrooms
1 pack
Maitake mushrooms
1 pack
Easily melting cheese
4 tablespoons
Salt
1 and 1/2 teaspoons
Pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Garlic
1 clove

Steps

1. Remove the sinews from the tenderloins and open them up so that they are about the same thickness on both sides. Season with salt (1/2 teaspoon) and pepper (1/2 teaspoon).
2. Tear up the mushrooms into equally sized pieces.
3. Heat up 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the mashed garlic in a frying pan. Lightly cook the mushrooms, season with salt (1 teaspoon), and place on a dish.
4. Heat up 1 tablespoon of olive oil in the frying pan and brown both sides.
5. Place the mushrooms from Step 3 onto Step 4. Top with the cheese.
6. Turn the heat to low and steam.
7. After 2-3 minutes, once the cheese has become nice and gooey, it's done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had actually planned to make a different dish, but I accidentally bought the wrong ingredients when shopping, so I came up with this recipe.
