Buri (Japanese Amberjack) Teriyaki

The shiny, sweet, and salty sauce coats the fish and is the perfect rice accompaniment . This recipe entered the Cookpad Hall of Fame in 2013!!

Ingredients: 3-4 fillets

Buri (Japanese amberjack)
3-4 fillets
● Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
● Sake
2 tablespoons
● Mirin
2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
● Sugar
2 tablespoons


1. Sprinkle the buri fillets with salt. Leave for about 20 minutes, rinse with water and pat dry.
2. Mix the sauce ingredients together.
3. Heat oil in a pan, and cook the fish. Start cooking from the side that you will serve facing up.
4. When the fish is about 80% cooked, add the sauce, simmer down for a little bit and it's done (don't simmer for too long or it will become too salty!)
