Stir Fried Spicy Miso Konnyaku

I like spicy taste, so here is the way to eat konnyaku.
The flavor is nice and it's spicy.

Ingredients: For 450 g worth of konnyaku

Konnyaku block
450 g
Olive oil
1 tablespoon
Cumin seeds
1 teaspoon
Minced ginger
1/2 or 1 (8 g)
● Coriander seed powder
1/2 teaspoon
● Garam masala
1/2 teaspoon
● Sugar (I used brown sugar)
1 teaspoon
● Miso
1 tablespoon
● Water
2 tablespoons
Fish sauce or soy sauce
1/2 to 1 teaspoon


1. Pierce the konnyaku with a fork to make it easier to absorb flavor. Cut to about 1 cm thick. Soak in hot water to remove the harshness.
2. Heat a frying pan with olive oil and cumin seeds. Turn down to low, try not to burn them.
3. When the cumin seeds start crackling, add the ginger. When it is aromatic, add ● and dissolve the miso.
4. When the miso has dissolved, add the konnyaku. Cook on medium heat until the liquid is nearly gone.
5. Finally pour in the fish sauce to season. Then it's done!

I had a huge block of konnyaku left over! I love cumin, so I made this recipe referring to the ginger spice stir fry for avocado.
