Easy Eggplant Namul in a Silicone Steamer

Easy Eggplant Namul in a Silicone Steamer

Namul is a Korean vegetable side dish. This is quick and easy to make using a silicone steamer. Make this when you need one more dish to serve.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Eggplant (slim Japanese type)
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
For the sauce:
Soy sauce
A little less than 2 teaspoons
Grated garlic
1/3 teaspoon
Ground sesame seeds
2 teaspoons

1. Cut the eggplants in half crosswise, then cut each half into 8 thin slices. Soak in water for a while.
2. Drain and dry the eggplant slices. Put in a microwave steaming container, drizzle with sesame oil and mix lightly. Microwave (at 600 W) for 3 to 3.5 minutes.
3. When the eggplants have softened and wilted, they're done. Transfer to another bowl (discard the leftover water in the steamer).
4. Combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl, drizzle on the eggplants and it's done!
