Colorful Bite-Sized Sushi Balls

These sushi balls are so simple, you don't need any tips! Their colorful roly poly shape is so cute! They are so simple, they're great for a party!

Ingredients: 4 servings

Salmon, tuna, squid, sea bream, shrimp, etc
20 cuts total
Shiso, salmon roe (for white sashimi such as squid)
as needed
to taste
Sushi Rice:
Freshly cooked rice
2 rice cooker cups (when uncooked)
3 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
1 teaspoon


1. Mix together the vinegar, salt, and sugar and add to the freshly-made rice. Mix together using cutting motions while flapping a fan over the rice.
2. Put the topping, wasabi, and rice on plastic wrap, and shape into a ball.
3. If putting squid or other white sashimi onto the rice, first put shiso or wasasbi onto the plastic wrap before the other ingredients, then top with some salmon roe after shaping.
