Easy! Potato and Bacon Stew

All you need to do is to put the ingredients into the pot and leave it on the stove. An easy and filling dish that can be made on an open cooktop.

Ingredients: About 4 servings

5 or 6
Carrots (optional)
3 slices
Green peas (optional)
To taste
Soup stock cube


1. Cut the potatoes in to large bite-sized pieces. Slice the onions. Cut the carrots into small pieces. Cut the bacon in to 1 cm sized pieces.
2. Put all the ingredients into the pot and fill the pot with just enough water to cover the contents. Stew until most of the liquid has evaporated.
3. Turn off the heat and stir once with a wooden spatula. The crumbling pieces of thoroughly cooked potatoes should be smooth and delicious.
4. Transfer to a serving plate.

Story Behind this Recipe

This is an easy stewed dish that my busy mother used to make and is now a staple in my household. My mother's version only had bacon and potatoes, but I've added vegetables to make it tastier.
