Deep-fried Potato Balls

These fried balls of potato are crunchy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. They're delicious as an appetizer to serve with beer, as a snack, or to pack in a lunch box.

Ingredients: about 15 potato balls

Potatoes
200 g
[A]
Katakuriko
3 tablespoons
Grated cheese
1 tablespoon
Salt
To taste
Coarsely ground black pepper
To taste

Steps

1. Peel the potatoes and cut into 4 to 8 pieces. Put in water in a sauce pan and start to boil. Check with a skewer and drain if it is done.
2. Mash the potato with a potato masher. Add the combined [A] ingredients and mix well for about 1 minute.
3. Make balls (about 2 cm diameter) with the potato.
4. Deep-fry the potato balls over a medium heat until golden brown about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
