Bean Sprout Namul in a Microwave Steaming Container

This easy namul is made by simply microwaving the bean sprouts and garlic, then mixing in the seasonings. It's a handy recipe when you need one more side dish.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Bean sprouts
1 bag
Garlic (finely chopped)
1/2 clove
A: Ground sesame and sesame oil
2 teaspoons
A: Soy sauce and rice vinegar
1 teaspoon
A: Salt
a dash
A: Japanese leek, minced
2 stalks
Chili pepper powder (for those who like spice)
to taste

Steps

1. Rinse the bean sprouts and remove the stringy roots. Place them in a steaming container, mix in the garlic, then microwave for 4 minutes at 600 W.
2. Steam for 3 minutes, discard excess liquid, then add the A ingredients. Let sit for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors, mixing from time to time.
