Cooked in a Pressure Cooker for 3 Minutes! Ikinari Boiled Soy Beans!

Take unwashed, dehydrated soy beans and put them in a pressure cooker. Once the pressure gauge rises, cook for 3 minutes, then let them soak. They will come out like regular cooked soy beans.

Ingredients

Soy beans
1 bag (150 g)
Water
1 liter (1000 ml)
Pressure cooker
1

Steps

1. Put a liter of water and the bag of soy beans in a pressure cooker. *The soy bean skins are soft, so don't wash them; if you do, they may crack. *
2. Cover with a lid and heat over high heat until the pressure gauge rises. Once the pressure rises, reduce the heat to low and cook for 3 minutes. After that, just let them sit for a few hours or overnight.
3. Drain in a colander, discarding the water. They are done.
4. There is no need to peel them and they turn out quite pretty like this. You can use them in a variety of recipes. I used them in Recipe ID: 1366569 as the head for a Hina doll food decoration.

Story Behind this Recipe

I know that these are good for you but... you have to soak them overnight in water so I came up with this!
